Welcome from the Headteacher

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Savio Salesian College website, and to introduce myself to you as the new Headteacher. For the last twenty-eight years I have worked in senior positions in several schools across the city and have been a Deputy Headteacher for the last fifteen years.

I am extremely impressed by the enthusiasm and respect of pupils and staff, for the school and each other.  As parents and carers I want to thank you for entrusting the school with the education of your daughters and sons and I want to assure you of my commitment to continuing to raise standards and to work in close partnership with you. Our students have one opportunity in life to achieve at school and it is important that we work together to secure the best possible outcomes for all of them.

It is a privilege to be working in the worldwide community of Salesian Schools with their distinguished history of serving the local community for over fifty years.  I want to ensure that every young person in the school has a positive, rewarding experience all day and every day and most importantly that we live out our daily lives in school by following the Salesian way of living a life of fulfilment and service to each other. Loving kindness, opening hearts and minds and building confidence are the rules that underpin our school community and I will continue to grow and nurture these values in our school.

I would like to conclude by thanking you on behalf of the Governing Body and staff for the continued support you give to your children and Savio Salesian College and I look forward to working with you to secure the best possible outcomes for all our young people. Please do not hesitate to contact the college should you require any further information.
