Four of our students have been invited to go to Qatar, home of the FIFA World Cup 2022.
These students have been fully involved with outreach programmes run by Everton in the Community through school and have been specially chosen to take part in the Street Child United World Cup 2022 in Doha, Qatar. This is being hosted in partnership with Qatar Foundation and involves 28 teams from 24 countries across the world. 13 girls teams and 15 boys teams will come together to participate in an international football tournament, a festival of arts and a congress, to champion the rights of underserved children worldwide.
On Wednesday the four students will be spending the day at St. Georges Park where they will train with some of the England football team squad before flying out to Qatar for a week to participate in the competition.
We are extremely proud of the boys who will be great ambassadors for the school, their community and the nation. We look forward to hearing their stories upon their return.
