Y10 HMRC Workshop
Do taxes help build a stable and strong economy?
Thank you to Jackie Rigby, an HMRC inspector, for coming in and delivering a tax workshop to our Year 10 Enterprise students. Not only did they find out what taxes are paid in the UK, they found out how much income is generated through taxes (an eye watering amount).
Year 10 were also challenged to think about how taxes impact local businesses and residents. They now know that taxes help pay for essential services, education and the armed forces etc. All they need to do now is apply this learning to their Business Studies coursework. Good luck Year 10 with your upcoming internal assessment.
