Year 9 are buried under an avalanche of information about option choices, career pathways, academic pathways and apprenticeship options. They are about to make their Key Stage 4 options and to ensure they make informed decisions they have been researching via online programme ‘Career Investigator’ in PSHCE. This programme as the students questions about their interests, personality, and preferred working options. The information accumulated then produces a personalised analysis with supporting details about suggested careers. Then in support of this process Edge Hill University kindly entertained our students to workshops, tours and panel sessions. The students were blown away by the lovely campus, the progressive opportunities offered and left better informed about the opportunities university offers. The students were made to feel very welcome and gained a lot of information from this experience. We are very grateful for the support that Edge Hill University are offering our students.
