It has been a busy week of Cup Football for our teams this week. Year 10 were incredibly unlucky to lose their Sefton Cup tie against Litherland on Monday. They hit the woodwork twice and created a host of chances but it just wasn't to be their day. Year 11 also bowed out of the Merseyside Small Schools Cup, a day later, at home to St Mary's Wallasey.
Year 7 showed great resilience in their friendly match against the Hawthornes with a very determined second half display and Year 8 showed positive attitudes and team spirit in their Sefton Cup tie against a very strong Chesterfield team.
Our Man of the match awards for this week go to J. Binsteed and J. Olyncz (Y7), P McDonald (Y8), S. Neild (Y10) and E. Alija (Y11).
Year 9 return to action on Monday against St Hilda's in the Merseyside Small Schools Cup and Year 7 are in Sefton Cup action against Birkdale. Please see the below for all next week's details.
