7 Dom Care Home Project
Since September, 7 Dominic have taken part in an intergenerational project with Windmill Care Home. This has consisted of the students creating remarkable relationships with the older generations of our society. The students have used their extraordinary talents to create many ways to communicate and cheer up them up such as:
- Writing letters
- Creating Christmas cards and baubles
- Easter cards and treats
- An Easter stories
- Memory crosses for the fallen soldiers of Bootle
- A Christmas zoom call where the children sang and performed for the residents.
The students have been very engaged, excited and beyond compassionate during this project! It has been excellent to see so many students come of their shells with their new-found confidence and help those who are in need of a little company and comfort.
In the next coming terms, 7 Dominic will be planning to organise more tremendous and thoughtful events for the residents, including a garden party hosted by them themselves.
