Girls Football Roundup
24 of our Year 7 and Year 8 pupils participated in the Sefton Girls Football Tournament at LCSA in Thornton on Thursday. We had two teams in Year 7 and one team in Year 8 who played other schools from all over Sefton. Our teams had wins against Maricourt and draws against Chesterfield and Formby in the group stages of the competition in which a record number of 33 teams in total had entered.
Our player of the match awards went to:
L. Benton-Newman and L. Corrin (Year 7 – Team 1)
A. Brady and E. Lynch (Year 7 – Team 2)
F. Graham (Year 8)
On Tuesday our Year 9’s are in action in the same competition and we hope for the same good weather that our younger pupils have had!
