Our Y7 and Y8 combined team played their first league fixture away at Hillside on Wednesday. They played superbly well and came away with a 3-2 on a difficult pitch. Our goals were scored by E. Stevens and E. Lynch and the player of the match award went to the whole team for a fantastic all-round performance.
On Thursday, our Y7A, Y7B and Y8/Y9 combined team took part in the Sefton Schools World Cup Tournament at LSFA in Thornton of which 36 teams entered overall. After receiving a 'good luck' message from our former pupil Alex Greenwood on the morning of the competition, our Y7B team made the semi-finals whilst our Y8/Y9 team finished as runners-up.

Additionally, two of our Y10 Sport & Coaching Principles pupils, Jonathan and Nathan assisted the department for the morning to gain experience refereeing and coaching in preparation for their coaching assessments in Year 11.
